    Solved VLANs on RT-BE96U

From my personal experience, the predefined IoT network is broken, don't use it. Instead, create a Customized Network, and just set it up the same way as you would have set up the IoT network. You'll achieve the same thing, except not broken, and more control over network settings

    Solved VLANs on RT-BE96U

Ayy that's awesome! It's so weird how the predefined IoT network breaks VLANs like that. At least using a customized network instead is an easy enough fix

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

You might be having a different issue from what I was experiencing. When you log into the router, do you have a WAN IP? Do you have any wired clients? Do those wired clients have an internet connection? If not, you likely have a different problem from me. That said, a hard reset never hurts

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Few things: yes I'm updated to the latest Asus version. No, I'm not on Merlin for reasons listed above. I don't have fiber so I don't have an ONT, I'm rocking cable and a modem. Even with a modem, unplugging and replugging, even rebooting the modem, did nothing. My router and wired clients never...

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

So far so good! It hasn't gone a whole night without me waking up to a down network before, and all was good when I woke up today, so I think that reset did the trick. Thanks again!

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Factory reset may have done the trick. Been up and running without issue for a bit now, but since my problem often came back a few minutes to hours after power cycling, idk if I can say for sure yet it's fixed, but I'm optimistic! Fingers crossed 🤞

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Well this is a new one.... pressed that reset button plenty, even tried holding it down for way longer than should be necessary.... nothing happens. Guess I'll try resetting through the GUI, but I've heard that does a less thorough job, but idk if that's true Edit: I power cycled, again, and...

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Well, that didn't take too long. It went out again. Time for the reset. I'm not gonna even bother with the backup, I'll just do it fresh again, just in case

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

This was approximately power cycle number 20 so I didn't miss it haha. Not sure what if anything is different this time around

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

I haven't reset it yet.... while posting this thread I did another power cycle and it has been working since so my thought process is I'm just not gonna touch it for now haha but the second it gives me that error again it's getting the ol factory reset. And, let's be honest, given how recurrent...

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

And yes then I'll have to factory reset, but hey, who enjoys setting everything up again more times than they need to? Haha

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Already have the 5300 on Merlin. That was the first thing I tried to do when setting up this new guy, but the router updated while I was setting it up and I was locked out from flashing Merlin at that point. I'll have to wait until his next release and hope it is built on at least the same...

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

I'll give that a shot. Wouldn't uploading an old config basically undo the factory reset though?

    Solved RT-BE96U internet connection issue

Modem was power cycled. I have updated to the latest Asus firmware (I am not on Merlin as it won't let me flash the firmware.... another post on here suggested that is because Merlin's firmware is based off an older build and apparently Asus implemented security features that prevents users from...
