🐾 Idefix Terminal — an ultimate terminal in your ASUS-Merlin GUI

Awesome tool! Installed IDEFIX Version1.1.6 on a RT-AX92U running 3004.388.8_4-gnuton1 firmware. Non-default port for SSH and Dynamic DNS on port 8443 Using https for router access and so far all is working great.

Not seeing any server certificate information on the ddns page after changing ASUS official firmware to 3004.388.8_4-gnuton1.

Finally found a solution to this issue in a recent post. There was a recommendation to switch from Free Let's Encrypt Cert to Auto and Apply, followed by switching back to the Let's Encrypt Cert. I now have the correct information displayed for my cert. Alan

Wired device shown as 5 GHz wireless device

Due to the overwhelming response to this question I decided to see if a basic group of steps could correct a wired device showing partially as a wireless device. 1) Shutdown the offending device. Results: No longer showing in aimesh page, but still in network map client list and lan dhcp...

Wired device shown as 5 GHz wireless device

Understanding this is considered to be a cosmetic error. If one wanted to is there a process that could be used to clear the offending device listing and see if it comes back or not? Router: AX92U Firmware: 3004.388.8_4-gnuton1

Not seeing any server certificate information on the ddns page after changing ASUS official firmware to 3004.388.8_4-gnuton1.

The letsencrypt process scheduled in cron has run. This was populated prior to the firmware change. Is this just something that should populate when the cert actually gets renewed? I will have to wait awhile if that's the case. Thanks

Scribe Additional logging to external server

I have been spending quite a bit of time on OSE reading the friendly manual. As usual I dove in head first and switched an ax92u and 3 xt8 to ASUS Merlin. Syslog-ng is running on all four but I want to fine tune the format. Currently pushing the router logs to Grafana loki using alloy for the...

Scribe Additional logging to external server

Thanks, I am searching there now. Just haven't found a straight up solution. All all my other systems I am using rsyslog and can just add a config to change format. ( module(load="builtin:omfile" Template="RSYSLOG_SyslogProtocol23Format")

Scribe Additional logging to external server

I have a question about what log format is scribe sending when it is configured to forward log data to a central syslog server? Is it RFC 5424 and if not can it be configured to send log data in RFC 5424 format?

Ethernet Port Status -AX92U- FW 3.0.0.4.388_23630-g9d6ee22

Since upgrading firmware to 3.0.0.4.388_23630-g9d6ee22 from 3.0.0.4.388.22525 two weeks ago I do not see the correct status for my ethernet ports on the Web App. Currently they show yellow with 0 Mbps. With the previous firmware they correctly showed green and 1 Gbps. Oddly they display a...
