Amazon Kindle can't connect to internet

I have many devices on my network that don't have any issues, however my Kindle sometimes fails to connect to my wi-fi network and when it does, it states that it can't connect to the internet, however none of my other devices on my network have an issue.
I've tried both 2.4g and 5g without any luck.

I'm using a RT-AX86U Pro router with Merlin Firmware (latest version). My Lan DNS setting

These are my WAN DNS settings

I believe it is something to do with DNS, but I'm not entirely sure. What measures can I take to troubleshoot this further?

Find the Kindle on the Wireless Log page. How long is it connected? Does it show an IP address? What Kindle model is it? Many older ones only connect to 2.4 GHz. What are your 2.4 GHz settings?

It's a 11th generation Kindle

It seems every 2nd time I try and connect to the 2.4G network, it connections, but can't see it in the logs.

Your Kindle connected to the Wi-Fi network but could not reach the internet.
If I retry, it can't connect to Wi-Fi..

Lighten up on the WPA Pre-Shared key or WIFI password: eight to ten characters, upper/lower case letters, numbers and no special characters or spaces.
I also recommend using the Dual Band SmartConnect. Set the 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz bandwidth.

In the LAN/DHCP/DNS Server 1 and 2 blank them out. Just let the router serve the DNS. Your WAN settings are OK but I would use 1.1.1.2 and 1.0.0.2. (Cloudflare Security)

Edit: if you want to try a new WIFI password set up a guest network on the 2.4 GHz band.
